Personal protective equipment (PPE) has been critical in our fight against Covid-19. Much of the PPE used is plastic based, including masks, gowns and face shields.

Plastic Oceans Australasia is currently assessing the extent of additional plastic usage through PPE and helping its partners in the health sector identify ways of reducing plastic usage in other areas whilst maintaining health and safety.
