When Plastic Oceans Australasia was officially launched in Canberra in 2017 , the producer of A Plastic Oceans, Jo Ruxton, visited the John Monash Science School in Melbourne and invited the school to become the first ambassador school in Australia .
One year on, the students have reduced their plastic footprint and are encouraging other schools to take up the charge to make ‘a wave of change ‘ by reducing their usage of single use plastic. An education program/manual is provided to the school to assist further study , awareness and research to continue. Watch this space as more exciting activities will be announced soon..
