Plastic Oceans Australasia team members travelled to Queensland over June 14-16 to attend the Welcome to the Whales festival as part of Redcliffe KyteFest. They spent the weekend alongside our affiliates Coastal Protection Core, sharing information about marine pollution and ideas for preventing it. Executive Director (Acting) Ricki presented on the Saturday and spoke to festival goers about the ways in which whales were being impacted by plastic ocean pollution. We connected with so many like-minded individuals, organisations and business’ and are looking forward to attending Welcome to the Whales 2020!
