About Plastic Oceans Australasia
Plastic Ocean’s Australasia (POA) is an impact not-for-profit organisation on a mission to change people’s attitude to plastic within a generation.
POA works with community groups, businesses and individuals, offering professional education programs that are scientifically endorsed to inspire people to reduce plastic using self-led initiatives by working with others to eliminate plastic from supply chains and within the community, business and government entities.
The organisation operates extensive public awareness campaigns and offers education programs for businesses and schools to provide the wider public - especially younger generations, with educational information on how to reduce their plastic footprint while raising awareness about its impact on the ocean.
About the Role
Plastic Oceans Australasia is looking for a Campaign Officer to devise, coordinate and deliver strategies and campaigns as new opportunities arise and existing initiatives develop.
This role will provide creativity and leadership in the development and implementation of engaging campaigns to deliver high-performing, innovative and effective online campaigns.
The Campaign Officer will monitor communication and design effective strategies for campaigning with audiences through social media while identifying and pursuing fundraising opportunities in campaign design. As a campaign officer, you will work closely with others to assist strategy, planning and execution of POA’s annual campaigns.
This is a volunteer/internship role and a great opportunity for a university student or recent graduate. The right candidate will be in a position to be promoted into employment.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Create integrated marketing campaigns based on market segments to promote the organisation’s vision and mission.
Supervise the execution, monitoring and measurement of marketing campaigns and their success.
Ensure campaign implementation follows organizational guidelines.
Compile reports of campaign performance and results.
Improve new campaigns using data and feedback from existing and previous projects.
